The evening consists of:
A traditional open bar before the meal;
Of course, a selection of cigars to sample;
A tasting of the featured liquor before dinner;
A hearty dinner at a local St. Louis Restaurant or venue;
Speakers from the suppliers will talk about the cigars and the liquor; and
There is a raffle involved with this evening, also. Raffle tickets are being sold by club members and will be available the night of the event. One raffle ticket is complementary with registration.
One of the leading questions has been "Is this just a guy thing?" Not at all. This type of enjoyment has been embraced by men and women alike. At our Cigar Dinners over the last few years the mix included just at 25% women. Everyone is certainly welcome.
Come 2011, we will have to see how the new NAZI styled smoking bans will effect us and determine if we can continue to raise money for the collage scholarship program in this manner. Stay tuned.
